Do you follow my child's school textbook and assessment schedule?
Yes. We ask for your child’s school name and current unit at enrolment. Sessions are planned around your school’s upcoming tests and Semester exam dates. We’re familiar with assessment programs across most Perth schools and can align content to what’s being taught in class each week.
 
 
Significantly. Year 11 ATAR introduces formal proof, calculus, complex numbers and statistical analysis in Mathematics — and in Physics and Chemistry, the depth and pace jump considerably. Students are now expected to work quantitatively, apply scientific models to unfamiliar contexts, and produce formal investigation reports. We shift from building foundational skills to building the reasoning and technique that ATAR exams demand.
We generally recommend separate sessions for each subject as the content demands focused attention. However, for students who are strong and simply need consolidation, a combined 90-minute session covering both is possible. We’ll advise after the initial trial session based on your child’s pace and current workload.
Yes — we have tutors experienced in both ATAR Physics and Chemistry for Year 11. Many students take both subjects alongside a Maths ATAR course, so we’re well set up to support that combination. We recommend dedicated sessions per subject given the different skill sets involved (quantitative problem-solving in Physics vs calculations and practical reports in Chemistry). Contact us to discuss a combined enrolment — we can often accommodate both subjects in a weekly schedule.
We ask for 24 hours’ notice where possible. Sessions cancelled with sufficient notice are rescheduled at no charge within the same term. We understand school sport, excursions and illness happen — flexibility is built into how we run the program.
Starting at the beginning of Year 11 is strongly recommended. The first few weeks establish the foundations — proof logic in Specialist, function notation in Methods, consumer arithmetic in Applications — that everything else builds on. Students who start early develop better habits and far less catch-up pressure before the Semester 1 exam. Don’t wait for a poor test result to act.
Yes. We offer holiday intensive sessions aligned to the WA school term calendar. Term break sessions are a popular time to consolidate Unit 1 content before the Semester 2 transition, or to get ahead on Unit 2 topics. Holiday session spots fill quickly — we recommend booking early in the term.
